0ap1000000057813As the draft inches closer day by day,Dolphin fans have plenty to be excited about,a new logo, many new players via free agency, and 11 selections in this year’s NFL draft.Today I will be giving you Dolfans my preview/selections on the draft.First I will start off with what selections we have.1st round-#12  2nd round-#42  2nd round-#54 (Via Colts) 3rd round-#77  3rd round-#82 (Via Bears) 4th round-#111  5th round-#146  5th round-#166 7th round-#217  7th round-#224  7th round-#250.Now that I’ve shown you what picks we have,i’m going to give my opinion on what or who we should go for.If you are wondering my thoughts on trading up or down, here they are.I don’t think we should trade up because the draft is deep with OT’s and trading up could come at a high price.Trading down, however,i do think is better for our situation because if we are going for Tyler Eifert or Xavier Rhodes, two guys who aren’t projected to go as high as #12,we could trade down 5 spots or so and still get those guys while acquiring another pick or two depending on the trade.I personally don’t see the point of staying put because we aren’t going to get a guy like Lane Johnson at #12,we would have to select guys who would go at #15-20.My prediction for us in the first round is Tyler Eifert.A skilled TE for the future with good hands.I think it’s the perfect time to draft a TE right now with Keller aging and only being under a 1 year deal.Eifert would have a full year to develop before taking the reigns as the starting TE.My predictions for the second round are:42nd overall pick,OL Kyle Long.As I said before, the draft is deep with OL/OT talent,we don’t have to take one in the first round.Long could step in from day one and be our starting LT or RT.For pick #54 i’m going to go with DE Alex Okafor. For Okafor,he could be able to step right in and be the compliment to Cameron Wake that the Dolphins have been seeking.Predictions for round 3:(I’m only making a 3 round mock draft)With pick #77 i’m going with a familiar face for Ryan Tannehill,WR Ryan Swope.I’m going to say with this pick, the writing is on the wall for Davone Bess that he is out,as it might already be right now. While Dolphin fans may not like this,i think it’s a great choice to have Swope on the team to keep familiarity near Tannehill. With Wallace,Hartline,Gibson, and then Swope on the team,it would be a feared group of WR’s.Let’s not forget about a pass catching TE in Dustin Keller of course. With my last selection of my mock draft,(round 3 #82),I’m going to go with CB Jordan Poyer.I think Poyer would be a great insurance policy if we Let Grimes walk next year or if he signs elsewhere.Well Dolfans, that’s my draft preview/mock draft.Don’t forget to comment and let me know what you think! Also, follow us on Twitter:https://twitter.com/Phins_Nation,we’ll follow back, and like us on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/PhinsNation72?ref=hl.Thanks!-Tyler(Manager)

Your Miami Dolphins Kickoff vs. the New England Patriots this Sunday at 4:25 P.M. EST,not the originally scheduled 1:00 P.M. This is the last game of the season this week and we didnt make the playoffs but i am still very proud of our group of guys this year considering we didn’t have a veteran quaterback,or a veteran coach,or a legit no. 1 WR,but we made the best out of it and i feel like we have a very bright future. On the injury report,CB Sean Smith is inactive for Sundays game and also inactive are CB Richard Marshall,K Dan Carpenter, FB/TE Charles Clay,T Jake Long,S Kelcie McCray, and RB Daniel Thomas. On the Patriots side the inactives are CB Will Allen,S Josh Barret,RB Jeff Demps,CB Ras-I Dowling,WR Julian Edelman,LB Dane Fletcher,TE Brad Herman,OL Kyle Hix,FB Spencer Larsen,OL Jamey Richard, and WR Dante Stallworth. The Patriots have an obvious advantage over us but i feel strongly about us pulling off an upset.Give me your prediction! Thanks for reading!Let me know where i can improve on so i can make an effort to do so!GO PHINS!-Tyler
